About Us
Texas A&M-Fort Worth will anchor a new innovation district in downtown Fort Worth, creating a mixed-use hub for education, innovation and corporate collaboration. The facilities are designed to foster collaboration between students, researchers, and private industry which will create a pipeline of innovation and talent.
Phase One
Law and Education Building
Phase 1 Site Rendering – November 2024
Opening for classes in Fall 2026, the eight-story Law & Education Building (LEB) will be the first completed academic building on the new Texas A&M-Fort Worth campus. It will house programs in law, engineering, health sciences and business that prepare students to lead and serve in a rapidly growing region.

Research and Innovation Building – A (RIB-A) will anchor public and private research and development on the campus. The planned areas of concentration include engineering, aerospace, agriculture, health sciences and emergency response to just name a few.

RIB-A Approval
The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents granted approval to proceed with conceptual design for building two, Research & Innovation (RIB-A).

Budget
The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents almost doubled the construction budget—from $85 million to $150 million—for the Law and Education building of the Texas A&M-Fort Worth urban campus.

Finance Plan
Fort Worth city leaders approve a multi-step partnership plan that will provide the financing vehicle to make the $350 million downtown Texas A&M University campus a reality for Fort Worth.
Growing Footprint
The Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System voted to expand office lease space in Burnett Plaza, the temporary home of Texas A&M – Fort Worth, to make more room for the System’s growing footprint in Fort Worth.
Building Approval
The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents gave initial approval to move forward with planning the first two buildings for an urban research campus in downtown Fort Worth—the Law and Education Building and the Research and Innovation Building.
Leadership
Dr. Kim McCuistion of Fort Worth was named the Associate Vice Chancellor and inaugural Director for the Texas A&M System’s downtown Fort Worth research and academic campus.
Rankings
Texas A&M University School of Law is rising in the rankings faster than any law school in the country.
Making Plans
Fort Worth government and business leaders and Texas A&M University System officials are working together on plans to build a new downtown research campus to spur innovation and commercial entrepreneurism.
